Bob and Toni Conway are the original founders of our company. They began the business in Turlock in 1994 and four years later they moved it to their backyard. Bob and Toni were not new to the almond industry but this was their first endeavor as an almond handler and processor. They soon got the hang of it and Valley Harvest Nut has thrived and grown under their leadership. Bob and Toni are getting harder to find in the office, though, as they are often out and about in their RV. They continue to guide and mentor the next generation while beginning to step out and enjoy a bit of retirement.
Joe and Janine Runnels, Bob and Toni’s son-in-law and daughter, are the second generation to participate in the operation of Valley Harvest Nut. They are committed to carry on the reputation of the business. Joe oversees all production and food safety issues while Janine manages the office and sells almonds. Mark and Laurie Conway, Bob and Toni’s son and daughter-in-law, are also involved in the daily operation of Valley Harvest Nut. Mark has taken over his dad’s job in the maintenance area while Laurie drives our truck to transport almonds throughout the valley.
Wayne Lyle, of Central Ag Products, works closely with our company as a liaison for growers. He works with growers that sell to Valley Harvest Nut, to help them get the most out of their crop.
